Gaelscoil na Daroige

…de la Derry Journal:

The headmaster of an Irish language primary school in Derry has said he won't turn away students from across the border.

Oisín MacEo is headmaster of Gaelscoil na Daroige, which covers the Ballymagroarty, Foyle Springs and Hazelbank catchment areas and is the closest Irish language school to the border.
He was speaking following the controversial ‘grannying’ issue which has seen some parents from across the border afraid or confused about approaching primary schools in the north.

It is also comes in a week in which the Northern Ireland Minister of Education, Cáitríona Ruane said she was taking advice on whether or not the law on the 'Grannying' issue contravenes European law on rights and services within the European Union.
