…de le Centro por Keltaj Studoj, Universitato de Viskonsino, Milvokio:
Sean Nós Gaeltacht Milwaukee 2008 kicks off on Friday, February 15th with "The Gathering",complete with an opening reception, introductory classes and a concert.
Saturday, "The Day", sees workshops and classes, our keynote address and an evening concert featuring /Navan /followed by an informal late night session. On Sunday, at the "The Scattering", we will wrap up the classes and workshops, come together to plan future connections and ongoing exploration of our Gaelic culture.
We will sing together our Sean Nós Gaeltacht Milwaukee anthem Mala Neifin and veiw the exciting new Gaelic language movie / *Seachd: The Inaccessible Pinnacle * The first Scottish Gaelic feature film( with English subtitles);/ Seachd/ tells the story of a young man and his boyhood quest for the truth behind the death of his parents.
His journey leads him to one of Scotland's most treacherous mountains, The Inaccessible Pinnacle on the Isle of Skye, and the truth behind his Grandfather's ancient, incredible, fearful stories; tales culled from the whole swathe of Gaelic history of poisoned lovers, bloody revenge, water-horses and Spanish gold.
