Radio stations fear they may lose listeners unless the Isle of Man Government pays for digital transmitters.

It comes after a UK report released last week revealed plans to make the most of new media…

The managing directors of Manx Radio and 3FM, Anthony Pugh and Max Hailey, agreed the Island could not afford not to go digital…

….He said there were 'real benefits' of DAB, including good quality reception across the Island, better quality transmissions than on the AM frequency, and the opportunity for more channels, such as a Manx language channel….
