Oifigeach Gaeilge Cheatharlach



The development of the Irish language in Carlow took a positive step forward with the recent appointment of the county's first ever Oifigeach Gaeilge.

Following two months of intensive recruitment, the dream position has been filled by Carlow native, Emma Whitmore.

A past pupil of Gaelscoil Cheatharlach and Gaelcholáiste Cheatharlach, Emma studied in Dublin City University where she graduated with an honours degree in Communications in 2003.
