An investigation by the Coimisinéir Teanga has revealed that the Department of Education has no Irish-language version of syllabuses available for 27 subjects on the Junior and Leaving Certificate courses.
The investigation was one of ten highlighted in An Coimisinéir's annual report, launched today.
The report revealed that legislation aimed at protecting or promoting Irish in public affairs was also breached by the Department of Social and Family Affairs, An Garda Síochána, the Health Service Executive and the State Examinations Commission, among other State bodies...
